Council workers accept deal that will give lowest-paid 10.5%

2022/2023 Pay Ballot UPDATE

The trade union side of the National Joint Council (NJC) on Tuesday to share each union’s consultation results and to agree on a way forward in respect of the pay ballot for 2022/2023.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to ACCEPT the 2022 pay offer.  All employer side’s have been informed and I have also today spoken to the Chief Executive to express the urgency to ensure the pay increase and back pay is included at the earliest possible pay packet.   Please keep alert for further information on this.

For Havering the accepted offer is as follows:

  • An increase of £2,229 on all Outer London pay points
  • Allowances to be increased by 4.04%

If you have recently left employment you may still be able to claim back pay for the increase from April 2022. If you believe you may still be entitled to back payment since leaving employment please get in touch with the Havering UNISON branch by completing this form.
